Volt International are running a webinar series on the major topics impacting the D,E&I agenda in UK and Europe. Each lunchtime zoom session will feature guest speakers and thought leaders who will share their own perspectives and experiences with the audience on the topic at hand.

In the second of our D,E&I journey webinar series, our expert panel explore how to tackle unconscious bias in the workplace and the how your business should be thinking about its approach to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Jane Hatten - Founder and CEO at Evenbreak. Jane is a disabled social entrepreneur, TEDx Speaker and author. She founded the award-winning social enterprise Evenbreak in 2011. Widely published in inclusive recruitment, including the books “A Dozen Brilliant Reasons to Employ Disabled People” (2017) and “A Dozen Great Ways to Recruit Disabled People” (2020), she is on the executive board of the Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative, a Patron of Arkbound Foundation and a Trustee of Action on Disability and Development International. Winning a number of inclusion awards, she was 7th on the Shaw Trust Power 100 ‘Britain’s Most Influential Disabled People’ list in 2019.

Jane will be looking at processes which eliminate the opportunities for unconscious bias to take place, and ensuring that inclusion is consciously and explicitly included in decision-making.

Chikere Igbokwe - DEI & Anti Racism Consultant and Founder at Inclucive D&I Consultancy & Allyship. A community of D&I specialists to learn, educate, connect and fully understand the discrimination faced by Black and Minority groups. Chikere is also a trainer focused on anti-racism and race issues. 

I am passionate about Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Equality and the important role that recruitment plays especially when it comes to recruiting diverse and unrepresented talent. I am on a mission to make organisations more diverse and inclusive and equip them with the confidence and knowhow to be change agents.

I am the founder of www.allyship.co.uk - a community for Allies to learn, educate themselves, connect and fully understand the the discrimination faced my Black and Minority groups and Allyship Book Club.
I offer training and Workshops for organisations who want to know how to attract and retain diverse talent and change the systematic injustices that some organisations are built on.
