Volt UK ran 5k for Alzheimer Society, 20th August 4pm 2021.
The UK team headquartered in Redhill, Surrey voted whom they wanted to support and Alzheimer's Society was the chosen charity.
Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity: they campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia today. Dementia is one of the UK’s biggest impacting diseases, with 1 in every 14 people aged 65 years and over having dementia. Someone develops it every three minutes and there’s currently no cure.
It is scary facing up to it, but we must confront the biggest health and social care challenge of our time.
So, we are calling on everyone to unite. Working together, we can aim to achieve a world without dementia.
