Mission Context
The iOPS/DevOps Engineer will be responsible for setting up and maintaining cloud environments for both legacy and new assets. The role involves automation of deployments, ensuring seamless integration and delivery, and supporting the cloud transition process.
Key Responsibilities
Deployment Automation:
Utilize Jenkins and Digital AI for deployment automation.
Implement automation for Middleware, Database, and Web products using Terraform.
DevOps & Continuous Integration:
Apply concepts of DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), Continuous Testing, and Process Automation.
Programming Expertise:
Strong proficiency in Linux, Shell scripting, and Python programming.
Infrastructure Management:
Manage infrastructure tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, Helmchart, Node.js, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, PostGreSQL, Redis, and CloudFormation Templates (CFT).
Automation & Orchestration:
Build and deployment automation using tools like Ansible.
Release orchestration, including application packaging, runbooks, and pipeline/workflow automation.
Tooling & Cloud Enablement:
Enable tools that support development, testing, quality, and collaboration.
Contribute to the cloud enablement process, including transition strategies.
Required Experience & Knowledge
Experience:
4-5 years of relevant experience, ideally with 1-3 years of exposure to IBM Cloud.
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of production environments (both hardware and software).
Proficient with cloud technologies, Java, and containers.
Familiar with architecture rules, standards, and development languages useful for architecture challenges and technical support.
Preferred Knowledge:
Springboot, NodeJS, DigitalAI, Jenkins, Ansible, Helmchart, Terraform.
Experience with IBM Cloud.
Business Experience
Knowledge of project methodologies and standards.
Strong prioritization skills.
Hands-on experience with Scrum.
Soft Skills
Rigorous and methodical in approach.
Strong team player with good collaboration skills.

Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
