Job Overview:
Our client, a leading company in the retail sector, is seeking a highly skilled Product Taxonomy Consultant to enhance their product data through improved category associations, aesthetics ontology, and business rules. The consultant will be instrumental in structuring and refining data models for bed textiles and related products. This role is essential for achieving the client's vision of advanced content personalization and product relationships within their digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Domain Expertise:
Develop and enhance the domain model for bedding and textiles.
Establish a basic ontology for product aesthetics.
Define a business rule association ontology to support functional and aesthetic rules for product types and variant prioritization.
Knowledge Graphs & Data Modeling:
Encode and refine product associations in a temporary knowledge graph.
Enhance and organize product data through taxonomic improvements.
Collaborate closely with experience teams to ensure data usability and practical application.
Leadership & Strategy:
Lead the refinement of use cases related to the client's content personalization goals.
Facilitate the development of robust data models aligned with business objectives.
Provide subject matter expertise in content personalization strategies.
Oversee content enrichment activities as required throughout the project.
Desired Qualifications:
Extensive experience in domain modeling for textiles or similar industries.
Expertise in defining and implementing product taxonomies and ontologies.
Proven ability to develop business rule associations and enhance product data taxonomically.
Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including taxonomists, knowledge engineers, and data experts.
Experience leading projects focused on content personalization and product association logic.
Ability to work independently and drive project goals within a remote, distributed team.
Project Scope:
The consultant will assist in establishing a sophisticated product taxonomy framework that enhances category associations and product relationships within the client's ecosystem. This project will contribute directly to the client's content personalization strategy, driving enhanced customer experiences.
Duration: 16 weeks (approx. 30 hours per week)
Remote Work: Full-time remote position, no travel required.
