Privacy Compliance Specialist
Job Description:Our client, a leading company in the Telecommunication Sector, is seeking to temporarily reinforce its Data Protection Office with a highly skilled Privacy Compliance Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data protection and data management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in overseeing the company's compliance with data protection legislation and identify potential risks of non-compliance, reporting findings to the executive level.
Analyze the compliance of external parties collaborating or partnering with the company.
Provide internal clients with privacy compliance guidance on specific business questions.
Support the further development of the company's privacy policy framework, including related guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Contribute to the development and implementation of privacy awareness and training initiatives, enhancing awareness through internal communications, training sessions, and other initiatives.
Prepare responses to requests from data subjects, official bodies, and other stakeholders (e.g., Data Protection Authorities, regulatory bodies).
Assist in managing data breaches, including related reporting to the executive level.
Provide support for Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and monitor follow-ups on advice given.
Ensure compliance of privacy-related aspects in data projects, collaborating with internal teams across the company.
Support affiliates within the company in their privacy governance processes.
Contribute to the definition of the company's strategy regarding data valorization initiatives.
Monitor legal developments in data and privacy law, translating them into compliance practices to mitigate risks of data breaches and potential disputes (operational, contractual, administrative, judicial, or reputational).
Your Profile:
A Master's degree in Law or Information Security (or equivalent through experience) is required, along with certifications in privacy (e.g., IAPP, CIPP).
3 to 5 years of professional experience, primarily in data protection and data security; knowledge or experience in the telecom sector is a plus.
Excellent knowledge of GDPR and other relevant data protection legislation, with proven experience in GDPR implementation projects.
A digital mindset and passion for new developments in privacy and data regulation.
Strong interest in and understanding of IT security.
Critical, analytical, and synthesis skills to solve complex problems.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, maintaining high-quality performance under pressure.
Hands-on, results-driven, and capable of working independently; disciplined and hardworking.
A recognized team player who is open-minded, diplomatic, and committed to integrity and confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills; fluency in Dutch, French, and English is required.
