Job Summary
Our client, a leading company in the financial sector, is seeking a SharePoint Online Product Owner. The role will involve overseeing the planning, development, and management of the SharePoint Online environment, including the Teams and OneDrive underlying storage. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, define product vision and roadmap, and ensure the successful implementation and adoption of SharePoint Online solutions. A critical aspect of the role is ensuring document security and data protection.
Key Responsibilities
Product Vision and Strategy
Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for SharePoint Online.
Align product goals with business objectives and user needs.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and end-users to gather requirements and feedback.
Prioritize features and enhancements based on stakeholder input and business value.
Product Development
Maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined and prioritized.
Work with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features.
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of SharePoint Online solutions.
Initiate and/or drive problem-solving activities within and beyond your scope of responsibility.
Manage communication with users throughout the entire cycle, from inception to post-go-live support, incident, and problem management.
User Experience and Adoption
Advocate for user-centric design and a positive user experience.
Develop and execute strategies to drive user adoption and engagement.
Ensure end-users receive adequate training and support.
Performance Monitoring and Improvement
Monitor the performance and usage of SharePoint Online solutions.
Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to boost functionality and user satisfaction.
Compliance and Security
Ensure SharePoint Online solutions comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Collaborate with security teams to maintain a secure environment.
Implement and manage document security measures, such as data labeling and classification.
Utilize Azure Information Protection (AIP) to classify, label, and protect sensitive information.
Develop and enforce policies for data access, sharing, and storage to safeguard company data.
Budget Management
Monitor and manage the product budget; inform management proactively on potential deviations.
Contribute to cost forecasting and budgeting exercises.
Seek opportunities for cost savings.
Experience and Skills
Experience:
Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, with a focus on SharePoint Online.
Strong understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, features, and capabilities.
Experience in agile development methodologies.
Familiarity with Azure Information Protection and data labeling practices.
Skills:
