Locally Barrow-in-Furness based SCADA Technician required for a contract opportunity in the offshore renewable sector.
In this role as a SCADA Technician, you will be
* Validating the Current Asset Register: Conduct thorough audits and validations of the existing SCADA asset register to ensure all equipment is accounted for and accurately recorded.
* Documenting and recording findings: Maintain comprehensive documentation of findings, including asset status, issues, and areas for improvement. Ensure that all data is accurately recorded for future reference.
* Supporting Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to ongoing improvement projects by identifying areas of enhancement, offering solutions, and ensuring that SCADA systems operate at peak efficiency.
* Collaborating with Multi-Discipline Teams: Work closely with engineers, IT specialists, and other technical teams to address issues, improve processes, and implement system upgrades.
* Ensuring compliance & best practices: Ensure all SCADA activities comply with industry regulations, best practices, and company policies.
SCADA Technician qualifications and skill set
* HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related field.
* Familiarity with SCADA software platforms (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, Siemens).
* Experience in asset management software and data recording tools.
