About the Role:
Our client in the Financial Sector is seeking a Senior Epic Delivery Owner (EDO) to join the Banking and Cash IT team and drive one or multiple epics/projects as part of the Cash Modernization Program. This program aims to implement a modern, efficient, and secure payment system.
You will work in a challenging environment, taking full ownership of initiatives and ensuring high-quality production. This role requires end-to-end project delivery and leadership, ensuring projects meet scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution: Deliver assigned projects within scope, time, and budget while maintaining high quality.
Documentation & Reporting: Draft comprehensive project memos and provide regular status updates to the Project Sponsor and senior stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the key interface between the project sponsor/client and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and expectation alignment.
Risk & Issue Management: Identify, mitigate, and track project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing effective action plans.
Project Planning & Forecasting: Develop and maintain project roadmaps, including resource allocation and cost estimation.
Vendor & Contractual Oversight: Manage the relationship and contractual aspects with FIS (cash package provider - OPF).
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure project adherence to internal standards, methodologies, and tools.
Testing & Coordination: Work closely with external partners (clients and central banks) to facilitate testing plans in collaboration with commercial and network departments.
Change Management: Challenge and negotiate project scope modifications with sponsors/clients and providers when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in managing large-scale projects in the Financial/Banking sector, with expertise in Agile methodologies.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Strong ability to manage virtual teams across multiple divisions and entities.
Experience in software package implementation, preferably with FIS OPF.
Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and/or mainframe environments.
Knowledge of Swift ISO20022 standards is a plus.
Certification in PRINCE2, PMI, or similar IT frameworks is an asset.
