Role Overview
As a Software Tester, you will play a critical role in evaluating and testing our digital banking applications to ensure they meet the highest standards of functionality, security, and performance. Collaborating with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders, you will identify and resolve issues proactively, ensuring a smooth experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute test cases for web and mobile banking applications.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing.
Identify, document, and track defects using test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and provide testing feedback.
Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential edge cases and usability issues.
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in the banking sector.
Automate test cases using frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in software testing, preferably in the banking or fintech industry.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Appium, Postman, JMeter).
Knowledge of SDLC & STLC: Understanding of software development and testing life cycles in Agile environments.
API Testing: Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or similar.
Defect Tracking: Proficiency in tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
Security Awareness: Basic understanding of security testing principles, particularly for banking applications.
Mobile Testing: Experience testing iOS and Android applications is a plus.
Automation Scripting: Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is an asset.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to identify even the smallest defects that could impact customer experience.
