Are you a manufacturing orientated Category Buyer with indirect purchasing experience look for a new challenge in the Peterlee area? Our client seeks your skills for a contract opportunity that will bring you in to the indirect purchasing area of the business.
You will be liaising with internal suppliers and stakeholders of different categories of the business for engineering, logistics ETC. This is a multi-site role so you would need to work at several sites in the week.
There is a broad scope of work revolving around
Managing procurement of dedicated categories
Following local and corporate procurement compliance procedures.
Stabilising and cleaning the supply base in line with Peterlee purchasing strategy.
Develop and manage suppliers' performance (QCLDM), support OPACC improvement agenda (OIA)
Gain deep understanding of supply base in Europe and become a trusted advisor to internal customers.
Managing policies, agreements, source catalogues, and special purchasing programs.
Provide leadership for sourcing, logistics and resource management decisions.
As a Category Buyer your skills, experience, and qualifications cover
Microsoft Office, Visio & purchasing systems. Power Bi knowledge would be a great advantage.
MCIPS qualified or experience in a Buying or Purchasing role.
Previous experience within a Buying or Purchasing role.
Experience in developing working relationship with others inside and outside the department.
