Introduction:
Our client in the Energy Sector is actively contributing to Europe's and Belgium's energy transition by expanding its offshore high-voltage grid. This includes the construction of the Princess Elisabeth Island, which will serve as a hub to connect new Belgian windfarms in the Princess Elisabeth Windfarm zone.

The project entails the development of:

An artificial energy island with offshore transmission infrastructure
Multiple AC substations at 66kV & 220kV
Six 220kV AC export cable systems (~50 km each)
HVDC connections between the artificial island and the Ventilus project substation
Potential future HVDC interconnectors
Project Overview:
An EPC contract has been awarded to the consortium HSI (HSM, Smulders & IV Offshore) for the construction of 4 AC substations and 1 facility module (including warehouse and general infrastructure). Engineering is currently ongoing, with onshore construction expected to begin in 2025 in Vlissingen and Schiedam.

Key Responsibilities:

Report to the AC Package Manager and coordinate client representatives (safety, structural, corrosion protection, and other disciplines as needed).
Oversee quality control and progress reporting (risk-based).
Manage Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) control for the EPC contractor with support from the HSE officer.
Develop and maintain staffing plans for client representatives, including hiring and integration into the project.
Review method statements, risk analyses, and procedures to ensure quality and timely completion by the EPC contractor.
Proactively identify risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation plans as needed.
Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for construction with the EPC contractor.
Coordinate with other disciplines within the project team, including utilities, HV equipment, civil works, and other packages.
Collaborate closely with teams working on T&I (Testing & Commissioning) and HSE.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in offshore projects.
Experience with topside fabrication is essential.
Strong working knowledge of structural and corrosion protection.
Additional knowledge of other disciplines (Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Mechanical) is a plus.
Engineering degree (preferably in structural engineering).
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Strong proficiency in MS Office.
Ability to work in a structured manner and as part of a team.
Quick learner and adaptable to dynamic project needs.
Languages:

Fluent in English (Dutch is an asset).
Working Hours & Location:

Full-time position.
4 days per week in Schiedam/Vlissingen (Netherlands), 1 day per week in Brussels (Belgium).
Preferably based in Belgium or the Netherlands.
