Mission Context
Our client in the Banking Sector is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead and support Agile squads. The Scrum Master ensures the proper implementation of Agile methodologies, primarily Scrum, helping the team maximize project results while protecting them from internal and external distractions.
As a key Agile ambassador, the Scrum Master fosters a culture of continuous improvement, enabling the squad to self-organize and optimize performance. He/she works closely with business lines and stakeholders, ensuring productive interactions and effective collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Project Follow-up:
Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives.
Schedule and oversee key Agile milestones to ensure smooth project execution.
Remove impediments that hinder team progress and overall project success.
Support the Product Owner in managing and refining the Product Backlog.
Assist the team in delivering high-quality outputs by ensuring adherence to the Definition of Done (DoD) and maintaining an effective Sprint Backlog.
Track and analyze team capacity and velocity metrics to optimize planning and progress monitoring.
Agile Methodology & Coaching:
Coach and mentor Agile teams, fostering self-organization and continuous improvement.
Guide the team in overcoming challenges while promoting Agile best practices.
Advocate Agile methodologies within the organization and facilitate Agile transformation.
Provide periodic reports on the application and effectiveness of Agile methodologies.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
Required Skills & Experience
Education & Certification:
Master's degree or equivalent experience.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including expertise in Agile methodologies and coaching.
Strong background in banking industry projects (preferred).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Agile reporting and follow-up tools (e.g., Jira).
Understanding of automated unit testing, functional testing, and continuous integration tools.
Solid knowledge of software development and project management methodologies.
Soft Skills & Agile Mindset:
Strong leadership and coaching skills with a servant-leadership approach.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to foster an environment of open feedback and trust.
Encourages knowledge sharing and best practices among teams.
Promotes continuous improvement and an Agile mindset within the organization.
Proactive, adaptable, and capable of looking beyond immediate project goals to align with IT strategy.
Language Requirements:
Strong command of English.
Proficiency in Dutch and/or French (at least one local language is required).
Additional Information:
Travel: Not applicable.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (50% on-site, 50% remote).
Agile Team Collaboration: Team members are expected to contribute beyond their primary roles, supporting different disciplines (analysis, development, testing) to achieve Sprint goals.
