Company Overview:Our client, a leading company in the energy sector, is actively seeking a skilled professional to support various applications in the fields of Asset Management and Market & Adequacy (CRM) domains. The company plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and sustainability of the electricity supply while driving innovation in the energy sector.

Mission Overview:This role involves designing, implementing, and executing test plans and test automation strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. You will work closely with internal teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to develop and maintain efficient testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Plan and Scenario Development

Design and document test plans and test scenarios based on existing functionalities and documentation.

Recommend tests to execute, including non-regression tests, based on acceptance criteria defined in user stories and identified risks.

Cover different types of testing, including:

Functional testing

Non-functional testing (volume, performance, security, data quality, etc.)

Integration testing

Non-regression testing

Ensure all documentation is written in English and is accessible to an international audience.

Test Data Preparation

Select or create appropriate test data before executing test scenarios.

Test Execution and Documentation

Execute test plans and document results, including test evidence such as logs and screenshots.

Maintain efficiency and pragmatism in testing while adhering to project timelines.

Test Automation

Collaborate with the team to identify test cases suitable for automation.

Implement and maintain automated test suites.

Regularly execute and update automated tests.

Defect Tracking and Resolution

Report and track defects using bug-tracking tools.

Update test documentation based on test results.

Work closely with developers and project leaders to achieve the required quality level.

Provide the final "Go" decision for deployment from the test environment to the acceptance environment.

Reproduce and analyze defects found in acceptance or production environments.

Collaboration and Coordination

Work under the guidance of the IT Application Manager, who will oversee planning and task assignments.

Maintain an effective work distribution:

30% Test specification

30% Test automation

30% Test execution & defect follow-up

10% Test reporting

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience in writing test plans, test designs, and test scenarios.

Experience in test automation with hands-on programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python) or equivalent logic.

Basic knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ability to write associated queries.

Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.

Experience with RobotFramework (RF) is a strong asset.

Strong proficiency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Critical thinking with the ability to challenge assumptions and improve processes.

Understanding of fundamental IT concepts such as web services, APIs, front-end/back-end systems, and client-server applications.

Experience with RabbitMQ is a major plus.

Experience with DevOps ticketing tools is a plus.

Knowledge of security testing is a plus.

Work Regime: Full-time

Location: Brussels (Hybrid - up to 3 days remote per week)
