Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Architect to join our client in the Financial Sector. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of technology architectures, planning and developing solutions that align with business requirements, and supporting operational activities as part of architecture governance. You will oversee the creation of High-Level Designs for proposed solutions, and clearly communicate the architecture and technology choices to various audiences, including senior management and DevOps teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Architecture Development: Develop and maintain technology architectures that support the overall Technology Platform, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Cloud Migration: Focus on migrating workloads to the cloud, enabling a hybrid hosting strategy through blueprints, including on-prem, cloud applications, and segmentation.
High-Level Design: Create and present high-level designs for proposed solutions, articulating architecture and technology choices to senior management and delivery teams.
Architecture Governance: Support operational activities related to architecture governance to ensure best practices and standards are adhered to.
Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps squads and senior management to ensure the effective implementation of solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:
IT Strategy / Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Oracle.
IT Strategy / Containerization: Proficient in containerization technologies like OpenShift, Cloud Native, and Baremetal.
On-premise IT Strategy: Solid understanding of on-prem infrastructure, including VMware, Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet.
Experience Level: 4-5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in hybrid cloud strategies and architecture.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
