Job Description:
Our client in the Energy Sector is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager for High Voltage Substations in the Brussels region. As a Technical Project Manager, you will oversee electrical infrastructure projects (380, 220, 150, 70, and 36 kV) concerning high-voltage substations. The role includes full project responsibility from planning and design to implementation and final closure.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the definition, study, design, and implementation of high-voltage substation projects, ensuring smooth execution from initiation to operational handover.
Prepare preliminary designs, budgets, and project schedules, considering available resources.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and report progress to team leaders.
Participate in the preparation of tender documents and oversee the procurement process.
Coordinate and supervise site activities, collaborating with internal teams and external contractors/suppliers.
Ensure that all tasks are executed autonomously, with regular reporting to the Manager.
Must-Haves:
Master's degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering (civil or industrial).
Fluency in both Dutch and French is required. A solid understanding of English is an advantage.
Valid driver's license (mandatory).
Residence within 30 km of Brussels, in the Flemish Brabant area (mandatory).
At least several years of relevant and stable work experience in project management, with a focus on electrical infrastructure.
Experience with high-voltage projects is a plus.
Strong organizational skills, a high sense of responsibility, and the ability to manage complex technical projects independently.
Excellent communication skills, client-oriented, assertive, and a good team player.
A flexible mindset with a strong interest in the technical aspects of the role, including regular site visits.
Preferred Profile:
Proven experience in managing high-voltage infrastructure projects.
Strong technical background and familiarity with project execution at substations.
Experience in project budgeting, planning, and resource allocation.
Proactive in problem-solving and finding efficient solutions.
