Role Overview
Our client is seeking an Expert in Schedule Management to support infrastructure projects focused on the construction of electricity transmission assets. The ideal candidate will assist Program Managers and Project Officers in managing schedules throughout the project lifecycle, from design to commercial operations. This role will also contribute to enhancing scheduling governance, providing training, and implementing best practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Defining Schedule Management Approach
Develop, validate, and refine the schedule management framework, considering enterprise and project-specific constraints.
Collaborate with Program Managers and Project Officers to define methodologies, including:
Schedule levels, calendars, and progress measurement techniques.
Baseline definitions and change management processes.
Scheduling requirements for EPC contractors.
Integration of contractor schedules into the overall program timeline.
Schedule reporting structures aligned with program objectives.
Document and maintain the Schedule Management Plan.
2. Schedule Integration with Project Management Areas
Scope Management: Ensure schedule alignment with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and budget planning.
Procurement & Contract Management: Synchronize schedules with payment milestones and procurement timelines.
Interface Management: Define interface milestones and tasks in line with broader project objectives.
3. Establishing & Maintaining Program Schedules
Configure and maintain schedules in MS Project (MSP) and Primavera P6.
Collect scheduling data from stakeholders and consolidate EPC contractor schedules.
Ensure proper schedule integration among multiple stakeholders (e.g., contractors, suppliers, internal teams).
Conduct scheduling meetings and validate scheduling inputs.
Apply advanced scheduling techniques and progress monitoring strategies.
4. Schedule Analysis & Reporting
Change Impact Analysis:
Assess the impact of project changes on schedules and document findings.
Maintain historical versions of schedules for audit purposes.
Apply approved changes and archive schedule baselines.
Schedule Risk Assessment:
Perform Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis in collaboration with the Risk Manager.
Report on risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Continuously improve scheduling methodologies and update the Schedule Management Plan as needed.
Requirements
Expertise in project scheduling tools: MS Project (MSP) & Primavera P6.
Minimum 8-9 years of experience in scheduling infrastructure projects, including civil engineering and building construction.
Experience in high-voltage transmission infrastructure or offshore projects is a plus.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PMI/PMBOK).
Language skills: Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is an asset.

Additional Information
The position is part of the P2MO department within the Infrastructure division, providing expertise in project management areas such as budget, risk, and scheduling.
Telework is possible; however, on-site presence in Belgium is required periodically due to the nature of secure network environments.
Work permit requirement: Candidates must have a valid work permit and residence permit for Belgium.
