Mission Context
Our client in the Banking Sector is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join its IT Traversal Channel Capabilities team. This team is responsible for the foundational development and support of banking applications. The team develops frameworks (Java, .NET, etc.), content management systems (OpenText, Adobe, etc.), API gateways, and exchange layers between front-end applications and legacy systems, following Agile methodologies.
Role and Responsibilities
As an Expert Java Developer, you will be part of a dynamic development team responsible for document generation and distribution for both internal and external customers. Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing technical support and best practices for both client-side and back-end development.
Analyzing and developing document generation functionalities.
Collaborating with the Application Lead Developer and Application Consultant/Integrator to process project feedback and identify new component candidates.
Writing technical analyses and user guides.
Offering expert advice and support on all topics related to document generation.
Actively participating in the testing phase to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Language Requirements
Dutch: Active knowledge of at least one local language + passive knowledge of the other.
French: Active knowledge of at least one local language + passive knowledge of the other.
English: Active knowledge of at least one local language + passive knowledge of the other.
Required Experience & Knowledge
Technical Experience (Mandatory)
Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Java Engineer in an Agile environment.
Strong analytical skills.
Broad knowledge and experience with:
Java, Spring, Object-Oriented (OO) programming, REST, and SOA.
Test automation tools such as Selenium.
Cloud environments.
Ability to stay updated with the latest technical advancements and incorporate them into work.
Passion for knowledge-sharing, coaching, and mentoring colleagues.
Strong understanding of banking operations, enabling effective discussions with stakeholders and product owners to translate business needs into valuable software solutions.
